Hole 1

"Castle"

Par 4

  249 yards
  240 yards

A short Par 4 opening hole with the green ringed by the Castle wall. Two fairway bunkers are positioned down the right side of the fairway to catch wayward drives, with three bunkers position to the left of the green to catch the longer hitters. The sensible play is to lay up with a medium/long iron, leaving a short iron to the green. The longer hitters may wish to take a Driver and go for the green, but beware the bunkers on the left!

An 18 hole links course built on well draining sand stretching along the north coast of the Wirral peninsula.

Tight fairways with intimidating out of bounds are a feature of the course; this coupled with the greens rated among the best in the area, makes Leasowe a good test of golf for players of all abilities without being too physically demanding.

Please use our Hole by Hole Guide (right) for a description of each of the holes.
